March 3 2008 In Africa there is a marked difference between the urban areas and the rural communities. Even in England there are differences, but in Africa they are much more extreme. Compared to the cities, the rural locations are way behind in terms of infrastructure, standard of living and so on. The vast majority of our work is carried out not in the former, but the latter. This of course brings many challenges, but ones that can always be overcome so that the Gospel of Christ can be preached. Levi Elonga in Uganda is based in a rural community and works tirelessly for the Kingdom in the local villages. The following are snippets from an e-mail received today. 'I have been really
busy with lots of village outreach programmes and preaching in churches
in Soroti area.....lots of things happened and God blessed the ministry
of His word.....the demand for missions is really great and we trust
God for the finances that we need for the spreading of the Gospel
and equipping of the Church and training of pastors and leaders
for ministry.'
