March 10 2008 Levi Elonga has just returned from a week's ministry in the city of Kampala. The report is below and for those who personally support Levi in his work, be encouraged. Through your gifts and prayers, the gospel is being preached in the nation of Uganda, and the church is being strengthened. 'I am delighted to report about the wonderful time of ministry I have had in Kampala with my wife ketty. We were there for one week at the invitation of Rev. Dan Magombe who heads up World Light Ministries pentecostal churches. Dan, together with his local pastors, organised a good programme for us and we really had an exciting opportunity to minister in five churches located within the city with three others in the Entebbe area. The churches were well organized and prepared to receive us and hear from the word of God. Every church we visited had over 300 people who attended and we ministered the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit touched, encouraged and transformed lives of people in a great way. Many others who had come to listen us were convicted and responded to salvation and we realized 230 souls in total gave their lives to Christ. We also had a good time of sharing with pastors from the word of God and we encouraged them and their wives to stand firm in the work of the ministry and mobilize believers for missions. Plans to hold Leaders' seminars in Kampala in May this year were discussed and we hope to return again for leaders training and a Christian conference. Our time in Kampala
was really profitable and it was also exciting to share with pastors
about the great work SICM is doing in Uganda and every one was extremely
happy and promised to stand with SICM prayerfully. I deeply thank
the SICM Director Rev. Stewart Bloor and all sponsors for standing
with us in the ministry of the gospel. Yes, we are your legs and
mouths to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and we have lots
of other schedules in April, so keep us in your prayers.' Spirit led and organisationally driven |
