Uganda mission report from Levi Elonga

April 21 2008

We have just arrived back home safely after a great mission in the district of Amuria, where we have been engaged with ministry work for a week. There were five of us on the team and we were based in Acoa county headquarters, with Rev. Martin Okwanga of Gospel Ministries Uganda being our host. We had open air meetings in the village of Abia where we realised 245 souls coming to salvation, including 5 muslims giving their lives to Jesus Christ as their personal saviour.

An outreach was also conducted in 4 schools in the area and God blessed the ministry of His word with a heavy conviction of the Holy spirit, leading 187 students and 6 head teachers to Christ. We also had opportunity to visit the local churches around the county and ministered to the Body of Christ; they were deeply encouraged, motivated and renewed in their Christian walk with the Lord.

Finally we had a meeting with a group of 78 local pastors and leaders in the area and encouraged them in their work. They appreciated our ministry to them and among their people and we were asked to return in June this year. For Sunday ministry we were divided and sent to different churches where each team member had a great and blessed time of sharing with people from the word of God. Reports from pastors indicate that the churches were blessed and everyone was happy and enjoyed the teachings.

We then left for home in the afternoon at 12.45 pm and arrived home home at 6.30 pm - the journey was safe and we were extremely glad to meet up with our families. I would like to thank each one of you at SICM and our supporters for standing with us prayerfully and in every way. We have more mission trips being organized for May and June and would very much ask for your continued prayers and support in any way possible.
