James Colton reports on his recent trip to Mbeya

May 21 2008

'It was a 11 hour bus journey to reach Mbeya, and I found a well arranged programme prepared. Over 6 days there were 18 sessions - morning 10 -12, evening 4- 6p.m.  and night 8 -10p.m. I was given 10 of the sessions to teach. The theme was the Holy Spirit. There were about 150 -200 people present and I began with the prepared life of the believer, before introducing the Holy Spirit, then teaching on the Fruit of the Spirit, then on the Gifts of the Spirit.

Sunday we focused on the power of the Holy Spirit as it was Pentecost. Many were ministered to that day and received from God. It was a powerful time and many were challenged and blessed, leaving better equipped and prepared for service. God was moving in people's lives from the very beginning. Everyone said they had received from God, had learnt  new things and had a better understanding of the Holy Spirit. In fact they did not want me to leave but are happy I have promised to return for more seminars and to continue to go there on a regular basis. So thank you for your prayers.

Had a good journey home again 11 hours, but I think the change in climate ( Mbeya is colder than Kibaha) meant I had a sore throat which developed into cold/flu. Even now I am feeling rough but knew it was important to email the report.'
