Western Uganda mission report

June 18 2008

Levi Elonga reports from Uganda:

'Glad to report that we are now back home from the district of Kibale in western Uganda where we have been occupied with missions work for the last two weeks. Four of us were on a team for the mission and we had ministry meetings organized in various places around the region ranging from outreach work, evangelistic outreach, church meetings and a leaders' teaching seminar.

Rev Alex Owor of Harvest Life Pentecostal Ministries was our host and he did a fantastic job and looked after us well. We had outreaches in various villages in the region and God saved a total of 254 souls during the outreach ministry. Five evangelistic open air meetings were conducted and we realised 643 souls coming to salvation and all have joined the local churches under HLPM headed by Rev.Alex Owor. It is a big church organization in the region and we had good opportunity to visit and minister in 15 local churches. Every church we visited was so packed about 2000 people in each church and the team was divided and allocated to a particular church for maximum use and the results and reports indicated that God really blessed the body of christ through the preaching and teaching of His word.

We left people and pastors very excited and encouraged and wanting more and extended invitations for us to visit them again for ministry. The teaching seminar for 1874 pastors and Leaders who attended was great and they received basic teachings on leadership. The seminar was real equipping of workers for effective ministry and God blessed and anointed us and we finally commissioned them out to their respective churches. They went back with great encouragement, determination, motivation and obedience to the call for pastoral ministry.

We would like to appreciate and thank SICM and our supporters for enabling this mission to be a success and productive through the support of finances and prayers. We have great opportunities of ministry in the nation and we want to establish more income generating projects for the funding of missions. For example the pharmacy project that SICM recently launched in Uganda is doing a tremendous job and keeping the work of missions moving forward and bearing much fruit. We want to do more for the Lord and ask for your prayers and that you will continue to stand with us financially and in every way for the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the nation of Uganda.

Wishing you all SICM and our supporters every blessing from God.'
