SICM making a difference in Uganda - Part 2

July 20 2008

'The other area of our great concern that we have been thinking about and focusing on is the establishment of income generating projects for the sustainability of the work of missions and general ministry. We thank God that through the support from SICM organization we now have the pharmacy project fully operational and helping us to generate income on daily basis and keeping us moving forward with the work of the gospel. The pharmacy project employs a born-again nurse by the name of Roseline who is in charge of selling drugs and provide treatment to communities.

Another recent income generating project that SICM has managed to launch and establish in Uganda is the cereal grinding mill project. We received the finances for the purchase of the equipment and other buliding materials and we have been heavily committed working on the project which we have just completed and it's now functioning well and effectively. The project is located in Adipala trading center and serving the general population of Atiira and Olio counties in Soroti district.

Mr.Michael Ogwang the manager of this project is doing an excellent job according to record of service and accounts of the project. We congratulate SICM and supporters for the launching of these viable projects and they are a big step forwad and great blessing for the propagation of the gospel in Uganda. We pray and desire to have more two similar projects in addition to be established to make four so that we will have no problems of finances for the ministry. Should God bless us again with any provision we will use it for the establishment of more two income generating projects so that we can be self sustainable and accomplish all that we want to do for the Lord. We have great opportunities of work in Uganda and it is only lack of enough finances which is a big hindrance to our work, but with your prayers and standing with us financially we can make a big difference together and expand the work of God's kingdom.

Today we have just sent photographs of the pharmacy and cereal grinding mill projects and pray that they reach SICM soon. We have sent them by post and it takes a week or so to arrive so let us know when you receive them.'
