News from the Muslim outreach team

August 11 2008

The following e-mail report was received from Pastor Osmond Owusu who heads up the team in Ghana. All we've changed is to blank out the names of the villages concerned as working in Muslim outreach can be very volatile at times.

'Dear Stewart, greetings to you in the name that is above every name. We wish to thank you for all the support sent to us to enable us go on with the Muslim Outreach work.

On the 30th of July 2008, three Muslim Evangelist who have all been receiving sponsorship from SICM over the years embarked on a journey to a village called (name withheld) in the Ashanti region in Kumasi to evangelise to the Muslim community. We stayed at the house of one of our converts at (name withheld). In the morning, we went on a house to house evangelism. They all came back with stories which was a very big door to help us evangelise.

Most of the people did not have money to register for National Health Insurance, which was only £8 per year. We were able to pay for ten people the next day and out of the ten we can boldly say that five of them have given their lives to Jesus. Two of them came to Accra with me yesterday to start learning new skills training in carpentry as well as hairdressing.

Next week ,we will be visiting another community made of Muslims as well and we need your support as well in prayer that God will give us another door to win more souls. We appreciate all your support and we wish to say a big thank you and we hope you will continue to support us to carry out this good work.
God bless you.'
