Medical health centre established

August 12 2008

'I am writing to thank SICM and supporters for the launching and establishment of Stewart Medical Health Center Uganda. The project has been officially registered with the Ministry of Health Uganda and granted permission to operate in the country and address the health needs of society. Also the good news to thank God for is that the local community and chiefs and elders of the area of Base recently gave us premises, free of charge to operate from, and we have been working on the renovation of the house.

Afterwards a thanksgiving prayer service was conducted and led by Rev. Chris Onangu of Glory Ministries Church, Kampala who preached the word of God and spoke very highly of the good work that SICM is doing in the nation of Uganda. The district medical officer of Soroti region was our guest of honour who officiated the opening of Stewart Medical Health Centre Uganda. Over 700 people across the region of Soroti had come to witness the occasion and were very impressed and amazed at the excellent work on the ground.

The project is now on the move and greatly addressing the health needs of people as well as generating income for the ministry of the gospel. We are grateful and really thank SICM and supporters for launching the project which is now a real blessing to the nation of Uganda and benefiting the general population. Keep praying for us as we plan to be away for a week on a mission trip, work is keeping us busy and we need your prayers.

Blessings to you all. Pastor Levi Elonga.'
