Mission to Kumi district

August 15 2008

Levi Elonga reports.......Our mission trip in the district of Kumi went so well and we have just returned back home with very exciting news updates that we would like to share with you. We have been in Kumi district for the last three days outreach ministry and preaching in churches. Four of us on the team went for the mission and the county of Ngora in Kumi was our area of base and ministry focus. Rev Peter Amodan who heads up the Pentecostal churches there was our host and he organized a good programme of meetings for us covering six high schools, two prisons, two villages and four Pentecostal churches.

As a result of the preaching of the word of God, 45 high school students came to the Lord and received salvation. The prison ministry also was successful and 7 of the prisoners came to Christ plus more than 50 souls during village outreach. We finally visited the local churches and we were divided and sent to various churches where each one of us ministered the word of God. Great miracles of healing and salvation took place and the church was so much encouraged.

The pastors were very excited and asked us to go back for two weeks mission in the near future. We really had great time of ministry in Ngora county, Kumi district, and have just returned back home very blessed and would like to thank SICM and our supporters for praying for us and supporting us financially. We are home just for few days of rest and soon will be on road again for another mission trip
