Very busy times for James Colton

November 1 2008

I was to travel with Bishop Mhina of Harvest Gospel Outreach Ministries to one of his churches at Kisegese, Ifakara, Morogoro region. Last minute problems meant I was to meet him in Dar Es Salaam at 2pm. I travelled by motorbike and car to reach the railway station in time. We had an eight hour train journey arriving at midnight. We were welcomed by 2 pastors. We then had a 2 hour journey on the back of bicycles to the pastor's home in Kisegese. They fed us and we went to bed at 3am, to be up in the morning for seminars.

I had 3 seminars every morning for pastors and church leaders, and one seminar in the afternoon for all the church. Bishop Mhina also had one seminar in the afternoon for all the church. Then at night we had a miracle service, which we took turns to speak and lead. Everyone was very happy with their "wonderful teachings". Two visiting pastors from Mikumi asked us to go in July 2009 to do the same seminars for them in their church.

On the Sunday afternoon I then had the honour of dedicating the new church building and praying for the church.

On the Monday morning we were up at 3am, after an half hour walk to the main road we got a lift in the back of a lorry - sitting on sacks of rice, for the 2 hour journey to Ifakara. There we caught the bus home arriving home at 4:45pm. All was well except during the week my throat became sore and got so bad it was painful to swallow.

Then back home I have been resting and recovering. I feel very tired, physically, mentally and spiritually. So am being careful to rest - not easy. Already Bishop Mhina has visited me with invitations for more ministry - seminars in November, this time in Tanga and Dar Es Salaam. I thank God for what He is doing. It is a privilege to be used of God like this.
