Okulonyo well constructed

November 10 2008

Levi Elonga reports from Uganda: The nation of Uganda is blessed by the services that SICM and sponsors are giving right from the support of missions, practical projects, sending of books for pastors and leaders, sending of short term missionaries for ministry in the nation etc. On the ground we have various projects and they are changing lives in a great way and communicating God's love and care in action.

Recently another well project was funded by a couple (Jack and Sally Fownes) in the UK through SICM and we are now through with the construction of the well located in Okulonyo village which is now benefiting the local communities of Okulonyo, Molok and Igola villages and people now have access to clean water. We thank SICM and sponsors who supported the well project for 600 pounds. The work has been done well and completed and it is now operational and serving the rural population with clean water.

The project is tremendously improving the health of people and has secured people from walking long distance to collect water from swamp areas. We are grateful and appeal to SICM and sponsors for future well projects being located in other villages that have real need for clean water. In total we now have three wells that SICM has supported in the rural villages of Uganda and want to acknowledge the backing of Providence Baptist Church who have financially been behind these projects.

We are proud of SICM and thank God for people in the UK who are committed in supporting work in Uganda, you are doing excellent work for God's kingdom and a big reward from God awaits each one of you. Keep us supported so that we can do more for the Lord and serve the practical needs of people in the nation of Uganda. May the almighty God bless you and preserve your lives for years uncountable so that the work of God's kingdom can be established.
