December 10 2008 Levi Elonga reports from Uganda We have been having the two missions trips in different regions in the country recently and it has ended well and we are all back home. Personally I was invited to the region of Western Uganda where I have been ministering the word of God. Bishop Jeremiah Omong of Pentecostal Ministries had invited me and kept me busy with work for the last five days. The district of Apacc was my base and area of ministry, with good meetings organised for me which include evangelistic outreaches, church meetings, leaders' seminar and an outreach work. The good news to thank God for is that a total of 978 souls were won to Christ and received salvation. Three hundred leaders attended the teaching seminar where they were challenged and encouraged in their leadership role. God so much blessed the ministry of His word and every church that I visited was so packed and the body of Christ was greatly challenged and empowered by the Holy Spirit. My time there was really good and I left people on fire for God and missions and wanting more. They asked me to go back again and embark on missions, church meetings, leaders' teaching seminar etc. The other 8 team of missioners were also ministering in the region of Northern Uganda and reports just received from them this morning indicates that their time there was so fantastic and God blessed their work in a tremendous way. They conducted three crusades and harvested 1300 souls who came to the Lord. A number of churches were visited and the body of Christ encouraged. They also had outreach work in schools, hospitals and prisons and God manifested his power and convicted 54 high students,10 hospital patients and 23 prisoners who all gave their live to Christ. We thank God for the support that we received from SICM and sponsors that enabled the mission work to be successful. We really have work in the nation of Uganda and pray that God will continue to use SICM and sponsors to stand with us financially and in any way possible so that we can achieve all that God has called us to.
