I'm happy to report that James Colton arrived safely at Birmingham airport, where I was waiting for him. Having flown many times myself I know what it's like to have a familiar face waiting for you once you get through the system.

We spent some considerable time talking through stuff (a word that can encompass a whole range of things) and then we relaxed at my house. With a couple of World Cup games on during the day the TV was switched on for some of the day at least.

James will be on furlough for two months and you can check out his programme via a recent news item. There will also be updates on the SICM site as he travels around the country and also into Finland as well.

I'm spending the day with James today and we have a few things to do. More talking to do and practical things such as get a sim card for UK use.
