First win for Tipton, first defeat for Brandhall

For the third week on the trot we congratulate a team for making The Summer Cup knock-out stage. This time it's the turn of Men United to make the cut. They did so in style as they beat Oakham 8-1. Their goal tally is now 27 in 8 games, which is pretty impressive.

In the top of the group table clash, it was Ebenezer that took the points, and pretty convincingly as well, as they handed Brandhall their first defeat of the season with a 4-0 score line.

Well done to Tipton as well, who got their first win of the season as they beat Crestwood 5-3. It opens up things for the final qualifying place and mathematically it is guaranteed to go to the last week of games in the competition.

It's great to see a number of teams represented on twitter and facebook. But if you do decide to go down that route please consider carefully the person who runs them. The last thing we want is for bad blood to be created because of rants, attacks and personal agendas. Go for someone who is humble in victory but gracious in defeat!

And finally, there are just two weeks to go for any new teams to apply to be in the league this season. If you are interested then get in touch as soon as possible.
