After some correspondence behind the scenes, we are really pleased to announce that we are going to be working with Samuel and Maria Di Blasi Oybo, who are on the mission field in Ghana. Expect to see some regular news on their work in West Africa and of course, if anyone would like to get behind their work in prayer then please go ahead. And if you would like to support them financially then contact us.
There is now a category for their news items in the 'People' link on the SICM home page, so check that out. Here is a brief introduction from them. More to follow!
'Greetings from
hot and humid Cape Coast!
We haven't
started yet with all programmes, we still waiting for the Lord to provide all we
need for the equipment, for the living and for workers.
Since we
started we have been involved with spiritual work, to pray for the sick, to
evangelize and to feed those who come to us asking for food.
We have
children, youth and women meetings, we also go to visit families and to
evangelize distributing Christian literature.
At the moment
we are trying to care of 3 vulnerable children. We are
preparing all the papers to fostering them. At the moment we bring them in the
morning and take back in the evening, until the papers are ready. We care for all
their needs, giving them God's love and biblical principles of life-style. We
have also 2 local volunteers who spend time teaching them and translating from
English to the local language for us.'
