Uganda sewing machine project update July 21 2007 As well as preaching the gospel in Uganda, we are also involved in numerous practical projects. Among these are the provision of sewing machines, with the most recent ones being bought by Margaret Wilson, who is one of our valued supporters here in the UK. Levi Elonga sends the following update on how the project is helping people on the ground. 'I am very thankful for the impact that the sewing machine project is making in the lives of people and greatly improving their living conditions. It is progressing tremendously and has enabled the beneficiaries to become self-supporting. The work that they do generates a reasonable amount of money every month, and with that they have been able to pay school fees for their children and provide for their families' welfare. They provide a tailoring service to their local community including the making of school uniforms. The widows are very happy and thankful to Margaret and SICM for supporting them'.
