Ten decisions for Christ in Arusha

September 8 2007

We recently reported that James Colton had arrived in Arusha where an outreach campaign and seminars were to be held. It is important to realise that very often in Africa, it is not about massive crowds with thousands of decisions to follow Christ, but is about working on a much smaller scale. In some quarters of Christianity you can be forgiven for getting the impression that numbers are what really counts, and the higher the figures you can produce, the more successful your ministry is. But SICM does not even get tempted to go down that road, and so when James reported that there were ten decisions for Christ, we rejoiced as much as if there were a few more noughts on the end.

James did two seminars - one on brokenness and the other on unity, and was greatly encouraged by the response. He did pick up a little stomach problem - part of the call of working in Africa! - but has had some medicine and is now back on track. He is now back home in Kibaha.
