Fruit is desirable

a) Before the fall and after restoration - fruit is an integral part of God's expression of perfection.

b) Fruit is desirable. Whoever doesn't desire love etc must have a problem!

Principle of sowing and reaping

a) Need to grasp this principle. Plant cabbage, reap cabbage. Plant carrot, reap carrot.
b) You always reap what you sow, no exceptions.
c) What we sow in lifestyle, we reap in character. You can't live an ungodly lifestyle and display the fruit of the Spirit.
Galatians 6: 7-9

Effective fruit involves pruning

a) Pruning is an integral part of effective horticulture.
b) Small well pruned trees bear the most fruit. Large, unkept ones produce small undernourished fruit.
c) Fruit is produced when the tree is full of sap. The sap literally forces its way out and becomes fruit.
d) We get cut anyway, so may as well get pruned for good.
