Basis of Faith

The Evangelical Alliance is an organisation that represents over 1 million Christians in the UK, and this set of short studies is based on their 'Basis of Faith' statement. This is ideal reading for new Christians and would be excellent as a set of ongoing articles in a church newsletter. Stewart Bloor is currently doing a mini-series on the Basis of Faith in his home church on Sundays and so the notes are ongoing. click here for notes on the basis of faith.

Fruit of the Spirit

Based on Galatians 5: 22-23 this series consists of twelve individual studies. There are three introductory ones and then one for each specific fruit. click here for notes on the fruit of the Spirit.

Interpreting and applying the Bible

It is so important that we take a sensible and common-sense approach to not only interpreting the Bible, but also then applying it into our lives. Whilst this side of eternity we will never be perfect, therefore our understanding of God's Word will also fall short sometimes of the true meaning He intended, nevertheless there are rules that we can apply to the Bible so that we avoid the obvious errors that many fall into. click here for notes on interpreting and applying the Bible.

Prayer

A series of five messages based on prayer. Each of the titles begins with the letter 'p' so if you are preaching to an English speaking congregation, it's one of those series that can be easier for people to remember. click here for the notes on prayer.

Vision

Based on Proverbs 29:18 (AV) that tells us, 'Without a vision the people perish', this series of notes looks at vision and emphasises the importance of being people who know where we are heading in God. Whether it be the corporate aspect of the church, or the individual and their walk with the Lord, we all need to have vision. click here for notes on vision.
