The Book of Deuteronomy...

Chapter 1. Rebellion, disobedience and bad attitude kept the Israelites out the promised land. They also prevent us from moving forward as well.

Chapter 2. Sometimes we fight, other times we need to back off. We just need to know which and when.

Chapter 3. When you're in God's will and on the right track there's no need to be afraid of any battle that lies ahead.

Chapter 4. Guard your heart, avoid that which appears attractive but which is destructive, don't let your mind stray, focus on God.

Chapter 5. Walk in obedience and blessings will follow. Go our own way and they won't. Simple as that really.

Chapter 6. Obedience is the key to blessings. To live right before God is the door to a blessed life.

Chapter 7. Even when opposition is bigger and stronger, when we walk right before God we have the victory. Keep focused, stay righteous.

Chapter 8. Never forget where we have come from and the lessons of the past. The past determines our present. And influences our future.

Chapter 9. We must never forget that He is God not us. And out of that respect can come relationship. Without it we set ourselves up for a fall.

Chapter 10. When we think it's all about us, we're on a dodgy path. It's not about us, it's about Him. Without Him we are nothing.

Chapter 11. There are 2 paths before us. One is blessed and the other is cursed. It's up to us which one we take. Choose wisely and live.

Chapter 12. Not only doing the right thing before God but location as well. It's important that we're in the right place.

Chapter 13. Don't get led astray. Emotions can deceive, we need to be as objective as possible. Deception comes in many attractive packages.

Chapter 14. Consider how we live our own lives, our attitude to others and our response to God. Get all three right and we're on right track.

Chapter 15. Consider the needs of others. Ifwe have the ability to help out then do so. We never know when we're the ones in need.

Chapter 16. Remembering what we have been set free from helps keep us from going back and being snared all over again.

Chapter 17. It's about doing the right thing. Every decision has a consequence. Make right decisions. Make sure our roots are healthy.

Chapter 18. With call comes privilege. And sacrifice. And responsibility.

Chapter 19. Making the punishment fit the crime. There's compassion and understanding but there's also justice that has to be done.

Chapter 20. When you face a battle be prepared. Stay focused. Don't allow distractions. Don't compromise.

Chapter 21. Punishments were severe and swift. Life before the grace and mercy of Calvary was hard.

Chapter 22. Severe verdicts for crimes against fellow human beings. Sometimes penalties have to be punitive as well as remedial.

Chapter 23. Do this, don't do that. Lists of do's and dont's may appear legalistic, but with God there's always a reason why.

Chapter 24. Even in apparent severity of the law find relationship guidelines. How we treat others often a reflection of how we treat ourselves.

Chapter 25. Penalties were severe, but they lived in severe times. So do we, but that can be forgotten sometimes.

Chapter 26. A truly thankful person gives their firstfuits. Their best. Not what's left over that they don't want anyway.

Chapter 27. Even before they entered promised land they prepared. If we don't do our homework, don't be surprised if we fail the exam.

Chapter 28. Every day we face choices. Our response determines whether we live under a blessing or a curse. Make the right decisions.

Chapter 29. The bottom line is he's God not us. We need to live accordingly.

Chapter 30. Just because we're breathing doesn't mean we're living. Sometimes exist - and only just. Keep right attitude and really live.

Chapter 31. Moses' life is coming to an end. But not concerned with self he's passing the baton to the next generation. The work goes on.

Chapter 32. In the midst of God's wrath and judgement we also see his heart for man and his desire that we might turn.

Chapter 33. A specific word for each tribe by name. We're more than just a number, one of the crowd. Known by God and in His plan.

Chapter 34. Moses dies. Death comes to all of us, it's inevitable. But what we can do is ensure we're ready to meet our maker.
