On-lineFC is a group that brings together Christians who share another passion in their life - football. (The FC stands for Football Christians!) It originally started as an e-mail group in November 2002, but it's success meant that it was moved to bulletin board format a couple of months later. This was an important step, and was necessary to deal with the ever growing number of e-mails being sent, which ultimately meant the group would peak as far as membership numbers were concerned.

On-lineFC is run as a ministry of SICM (www.sicm.org) and it's aim is to bring together those who share the common interests of a faith in God and a keen interest in 'the beautiful game'! As well as place of fellowship for believers, it's also a place where we can be encouraged as we seek to reach out to the world around with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

With the sometimes bitter and aggressive rivalry between fans, this group is a shining example of the unity that faith in Jesus Christ brings.

The board itself is open to public viewing, but to post you must register. This enables us to monitor and moderate the board more effectively and to deal with abuse, should that ever take place. Bad language, personal attacks and other such behaviour will not be tolerated. This is a Christian board and although it is open to all to post, we maintain high standards.

When you register you will be added to the SICM mailing list. You will then receive two mails a month giving updates on the general ministry as we report on our evangelism and missions work around the world. We don't pass your e-mail address to anyone else and all mailings are sent via BCC (Blind carbon copy) so your address is never disclosed.

All we require for registration is your name, e-mail address and the football club you support! (This is just out of interest so that we can see the range of teams represented in the membership of the group). You can, of course, use a name other than your real one when you post should you wish; that along with other details can be changed via your profile.
