April 2010 newsletter

In my own words:

Let me begin by wishing you all God's richest blessings for the New Year; that in 2010 you may have much to rejoice about. Then let me thank you for your prayers and support. Especially thank you to those who have written to me - email and airmail; and thanks to those who have phoned me. God bless you so much.

Being a Missionary means I am always on the front line - often under attack from the enemy as we seek to see precious souls set free as they receive Jesus; seeing the sick healed and those who are oppressed or possessed being delivered in the powerful name of Jesus. In 2009 in the first half of the year I was greatly blessed in ministry, especially for seminars for pastors and church leaders.

It was so encouraging to see what God was doing as people responded to His Word. But then in the second half of the year being under attack; I suffered from malaria four times; two of them severely, being told the situation was serious. The devil attacking and trying to persuade me to give up and go home as I have had enough of all this.

I was tired and weak and almost ready to give in but then I felt the effect of your prayers as God answered and undertook. Then in the time of convalescing I came to understand more about the meaning of Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose". For as I was resting, having no strength to do anything, God drew close and began speaking to me, teaching me new things.

A book I was given by Pastor David Weeks from Peterborough when he and his wife visited  for 2 weeks in July/August became a stimulus, as I read it 6 times as well as searching all the Bible references in the Word of God to understand more what the book was teaching.

By the way, the book by John Bevere was "The Fear of the Lord". The book blessed me, challenged me and caused me to seek God more on what it means to 'Fear the Lord'. It was a very precious time as God was speaking into my spirit.

As I came to understand and apply the teaching into my life so then I have been able to prepare notes ready for teaching; and in fact from 4th January to 10th January I am doing a week of seminars for Silas at his church in Dar Es Salaam and am teaching on "The Fear of the Lord".

Your prayer support is making a difference, as pastors hearing me minister tell me they have seen the changes in me and my ministry; that they are seeing a greater anointing and greater power. All praise to God and thanks to you for being faithful to pray for me. I pray God will continue to use me for His glory.

As a family we have continued to see God's blessing - Silas as a Pastor has twice been to Kenya for ministry, and has seen many coming into his church and being blessed - a number of them receiving Jesus. He is ably supported by his wife, Mariam; also their daughter Anneli who is now three and a half loves to dance and worship, she is fast learning the words of the worship and praise songs.

Rose continues to be blessed in her singing and is mightily used of God in church as a leader for Praise and Worship. God also uses her as a blessing to others as she goes to visit them and counsel them or encourage them in the Lord. So again thank you as you remember them in your prayers.

So look to God and have a great year and I hope to hear from you this year, do write with your news. God Bless.
