A pound for a pound

Lose weight and in the process provide a rural African village with water. We have committed to the construction of a water project in Swaziland and as part of the fundraising process, introduce 'A pound for a pound'. January 1 is a traditional date when people start a diet, but not only is it more fun when you do it with other people, it's also easier in terms of discipline. And if there can be a beneficiary of our weight loss, then so much the better.

So how does it work? Get your name down on the list by e-mailing SICM (you don't need to use your real names on the list below) and then set yourself a target of how many pounds to lose over January and February. (Be realistic!) Then weight yourself on January 1 and every time you record a weight loss afterwards, e-mail it in and it will be entered. No-one needs to know your actual weight! Come March 1 all you need to do is send a cheque to SICM at PO Box 1216, Dudley. DY3 1GW. It's as easy as that.

Sounds fun? Hopefully it will be! And who minds parting with a fiver if it means you've lost 5lb! And just think of the practical benefits in Swaziland. Enrol your friends as well - the more the merrier. And as we get news from Swaziland on the developments we'll add them to this page so you can see what's happening. Plus of course the conclusion when we build the project.
