J. Oswald Sanders - In Pursuit of Maturity (bc1-586)

In this book the author maps out the path to Christian maturity. While not forgetting the trials and disciplines involved, he reminds us of the encouragement and equipping available to us from the Holy Spirit. We also see that the road to maturity can only be followed as we recognize and play our part in the body of Christ.

Fair condition. The covers are creased and worn around the edges.

On the inside of the front cover is a personal message and scripture written in pen. The pages have yellowed.

Erica White - Doughnuts and Temples (bc1-337)

A doughnut contains roughly one-third sugar and one-sixth fat. Yet sugar and poor-grade fats play a part in many serious health conditions, including heart disease, cancer and diabetes. But if our bodies are God's temple, what are we doing? It isn't a sin to eat doughnuts, observes the author: if we have given our lives to Jesus we shall still go to heaven when we die - we're just likely to get there sooner! The author suggests that many Christians do not enjoy the fullness of life that Jesus promises, because our eating habits are not given over to God. This book has been set in the context of the author's own spiritual journey which led her eventually from sickness to health - and to a new career in her fifties as a nutritionist.

Rita Bennett - Emotionally Free (bc1-347)

One of the great words in the Bible is freedom. God wants you to be yourself, not what someone else wanted or wants you to be. Not bound in your emotions and memories, but free - free to live now and free to look ahead with confidence. He wants you to find out who you are, and to enjoy being you. He wants you to be free to love Him with all your being, just as He loves you. Free to love yourself, your family, and your neighbours. Free to cry, to laugh, to love. In this book Rita Bennett tells of real people with real problems, and how they found answers.

Colin Urquhart - Encountering the Presence (bc1-349)

Do you want to encounter the Presence? To encounter the Presence is to encounter the Light. To encounter the Light is to come face to face with the Truth. To encounter the Truth is to encounter the Lord - as He really is, not as we would like Him to be. To encounter the Lord is to encounter ourselves - not as we are but as we can be. And when we see Him as He truthfully is, we become like Him. This book will help you to see the Lord and to understand the power of the Truth within to set us free.
