Saturday nite live @ TFC

Saturday Nite Live @ TFC began life as nothing more than a one-off event for our own youth group. As part of our monthly programme we had the idea of inviting a local youth band along to play. Maybe other churches would support, but that wasn't on the agenda, as it was simply a low-key event as part of the TFC programme. But what we found in a very short period of time, is that the original idea escalated so quickly that it now became something that we felt was to play a major role in our diary, and indeed would attract people from beyond the four walls of our own church.

So by the time the first one came round in January 2008, we had a packed house and the feedback was excellent as The Lightning Strikes and Sonday Rose put on great performances. Not that we had any doubts, but it became absolutely clear that SNL@TFC was here to stay and that it would go from strength to strength.

SNL@TFC is advertised as 'For the young and the young at heart'. It isn't a specific youth event, but rather an all-age affair. It doesn't matter if you are 6 or 60, there is no target age group for the event, and all are welcome. It is also open to all, so regardless of what church you go to - or even if you have no church at all - then you will receive a warm welcome from us. The event is along the lines of a gig, ie we clear the chairs, but we do fringe the walls with seating for those who need a break. There are also refreshments (bottled water and soda) on sale.

Due to its popularity, after the very first one, we have had to limit tickets, which are advance sales only. They're only £2 - so won't break the bank!
